Denmark, SC, August 8, 2017

It's a great day in Bamberg County! On August 8, 2017, the Regional Medical Center celebrated the beginning of construction on a 20,500 square-foot freestanding Emergency Medical Center for Bamberg and Barnwell Counties.

The facility will include 24-hour emergency care with CT scan, X-Ray and ultrasound diagnostic imaging, lab and observation services. Located on 10 acres of land adjacent to Highway 70 between the cities of Denmark and Barnwell, the Emergency Medical Center will be easily accessible for the populations of both Bamberg and Barnwell counties.

It is projected that construction will take 12 months. The name of the new Emergency Medical Center is under development and will be announced in the near future.
