The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism offers a range of grant programs that can significantly benefit your organization. These programs are designed to develop public recreational opportunities throughout the state and provide marketing support for qualified nonprofit organizations. We prioritize projects that serve a large portion of the county's youth (18 and under) and those that have not previously received funding, giving your organization a chance to make a significant impact.
The 2026 Recreation Grant application is available here. The Committee will accept completed applications for grant monies until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026. Completed applications are due to the County Administrator's office, 1234 North St., Bamberg, SC 29003, or mailed to P.O. Box 149, Bamberg, SC 29003. They may also be emailed to Mrs. Rose Shepherd at shepherdrr@bambergcounty.sc.gov.
